ReplyAI Privacy Policy

ReplyAI is an Android app that suggests replies in dating-app chats. This page explains what it reads, what it sends, and what it keeps.

What the app reads

ReplyAI uses Android's Accessibility service. Only while Tinder, Bumble or Hinge is on screen, it reads the chat shown there: the messages, which side sent them, and the name at the top of the chat. It does not read other apps. If you turn on reply drafts from notifications, it also reads the message notifications those three apps post.

What leaves your phone

To write a reply, the app sends the chat text (and, if you use them, the chats you saved as successful and the drafts you rewrote), whether replies are written as a man or a woman, anything you wrote under About you in Settings (for example your city), and your phone's day and time to the ReplyAI server, which passes it to Google's Gemini API, with an AI model on Cloudflare Workers AI as a backup if Gemini doesn't answer in time. The reply comes back to your phone.

The ReplyAI server does not store your chats or the replies. It keeps no record of message content, except replies you choose to report (below). Each request carries a random install ID, created on your phone and not linked to your name, email or account; the server keeps only a count of requests per install ID for the current day, to apply a daily limit, and discards it the next day. The app also sends a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of your phone's Android ID, which can't be turned back into the ID; the server keeps it, with nothing else, next to a count of the free replies that phone has used, so the free allowance can't be reset by reinstalling. To have it removed, email us at the address below. Our web server's standard access logs record the time, IP address and app version of each request, without its content, and are deleted after 14 days.

Google and Cloudflare process the text under their own terms, only to produce the reply. ReplyAI uses Gemini's paid service, under which Google does not use it to improve its products, and Cloudflare does not use it to train AI models or improve its services. If we add or change an AI provider, this page will be updated before the change.

Crash reports and app usage

If the app crashes, it sends a crash report to the ReplyAI server: the app version, the Android version, the phone model and the technical error trace. It contains no chat text.

During setup and on the subscription screen, the app also sends short usage events: for example which screen you reached, your answers to the setup questions (such as your goal, the dating apps you use and where you heard about ReplyAI) and which plan you tapped. Each event carries your random install ID (not your name, email or account) and the country your connection comes from. We use crash reports to fix bugs and usage events to see where people leave setup. Both are kept on our server; email us to have yours deleted.

Reporting a reply

If you report a reply from Settings → Report a reply, the reported reply, the message it answered, the app it was in and the reason you picked are sent to the ReplyAI server and kept, so we can stop the AI writing things like it. Nothing else from the chat is sent, and the report isn't linked to your install ID.

What stays on your phone

You can see your saved chats in the app, delete single messages or whole chats, and remove everything with Settings → Delete my data. Uninstalling the app also deletes it all.

Messages the app sends

If you turn on Openers, ReplyAI sends the opening messages you set in a new, empty chat. Every other reply is only typed into the message box; you choose whether to send it.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are handled by Google Play. ReplyAI receives a confirmation that your subscription is active, not your payment details.

Children

ReplyAI is for adults using dating apps and is not intended for anyone under 18.
